Canadian Home Style – “The Kitchen Vote” Contest
Official Rules
1. Contest period
The Contest opens at 9:00:00 a.m. Pacific Time on Thursday, 1 October 2026 and closes at 11:59:59 p.m. Pacific Time on Saturday, 31 October 2026 (the “Contest Period”). Entries received outside the Contest Period are void. The Sponsor’s computer is the official timekeeper for this Contest.
2. Sponsor
Canadian Home Style, 1420 Marine Drive, North Vancouver, British Columbia V7P 1T6. Telephone 604-980-6772.
3. Eligibility
Open to legal residents of British Columbia who have reached the age of majority (19) in British Columbia as of the date of entry, and who own a residential property located in Metro Vancouver. Employees, contractors, installers and sales representatives of the Sponsor, and their immediate family members and persons domiciled with them, are not eligible. Residents of Quebec are not eligible. Void where prohibited.
4. How to enter
During the Contest Period, visit canadianhomestyle.com/contest-entry-the-kitchen-vote/ (also linked from the Sponsor’s Instagram and Facebook profiles) and complete the entry form, choosing the kitchen you like best from the ten kitchens on the ballot. Entry is free.
Submission of the completed entry form is what constitutes entry. Liking, sharing, following, commenting, tagging or reposting is not required to enter, is not an entry method, and will not improve your chance of winning. The kitchen you choose does not affect your chance of winning. Limit one (1) entry per household for the duration of the Contest Period. Entries that are incomplete or illegible will be disqualified. No purchase is necessary.
5. Prizes
There are three (3) prizes available to be won. Each prize consists of: (a) a credit of five thousand Canadian dollars (CAD $5,000) to be applied against a renovation project performed by the Sponsor with a total pre-tax project value of thirty thousand Canadian dollars (CAD $30,000) or more, which project must include the supply and installation of kitchen cabinets; and (b) one kitchen cabinet design and 3D rendering package prepared by the Sponsor’s design team, approximate retail value CAD $3,000, available as set out in section 6. Approximate retail value of each prize: CAD $8,000. Total approximate retail value of all three prizes: CAD $24,000.
The Sponsor ordinarily charges between CAD $3,000 and CAD $5,000 for a design and 3D rendering package depending on the scope of the project. The package awarded under this Contest will be scoped to the winner’s project and is valued at not less than CAD $3,000 for the purposes of these Rules.
For clarity, the CAD $30,000 minimum applies to the total pre-tax value of the project as a whole and not to the cabinetry portion alone. By way of example, a project with a total value of CAD $75,000 of which CAD $25,000 is kitchen cabinet supply and installation qualifies. Limit one (1) prize per household.
6. Prize conditions
Each prize must be accepted as awarded, has no cash surrender value, and is not transferable, assignable, or redeemable for cash. The credit may not be combined with any other offer, discount or promotion, including any promotion offered by the Sponsor in connection with any home show or seasonal campaign. The credit applies to the pre-tax value of the project and does not apply to taxes, permits, appliances, or third-party charges. The winner must enter into the Sponsor’s standard written contract for the project, and the project must be scheduled to commence within twelve (12) months of the date the prize is awarded. If the winner does not proceed with a qualifying project within that period, the prize is forfeited and no substitute will be provided. The design and 3D rendering package is available only together with a kitchen cabinet order placed with the Sponsor as part of the qualifying project; it may not be redeemed on its own and is subject to the Sponsor’s service area. The Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value if a prize cannot be awarded as described.
7. Odds of winning
Odds of being selected depend on the total number of eligible entries received during the Contest Period.
8. Winner selection and skill-testing question
On or about Monday, 2 November 2026, three (3) entries will be selected at random from among all eligible entries received. Each selected entrant will be contacted using the contact details provided at entry. Before being declared a winner, each selected entrant must correctly answer, unaided and without mechanical or other assistance, the following mathematical skill-testing question:
(12 x 5) + 40 – 20 / 4 = ?
Each selected entrant must also sign and return a declaration and release confirming eligibility, acceptance of the prize as awarded, and release of the Sponsor from liability.
9. Notification and forfeiture
The Sponsor will make three (3) attempts to contact each selected entrant within five (5) business days of the draw. If a selected entrant cannot be reached within that period, fails to correctly answer the skill-testing question, fails to return the signed declaration and release within ten (10) business days, or is found to be ineligible, that entrant forfeits the prize and the Sponsor may, at its discretion, select an alternate entrant by the same process.
10. The kitchens on the ballot
The ten kitchens shown on the ballot are for inspiration and for choosing a favourite. Kitchens 1 and 2 are projects completed by the Sponsor for its clients. Kitchens 3, 4 and 5 are Bauformat display kitchens; images courtesy of Bauformat. Kitchens 6 to 10 are kitchens by Bauteam USA, shown for design inspiration only; they are not projects of the Sponsor.
11. Personal information and consent
Personal information collected through the entry form is collected, used and disclosed in accordance with British Columbia’s Personal Information Protection Act and the Sponsor’s privacy policy, for the purposes of administering this Contest. Consent to receive commercial electronic messages from the Sponsor is optional, is obtained separately at the point of entry, is not a condition of entry, and may be withdrawn at any time.
12. Publicity
By accepting a prize, each winner consents to the use of their first name, last initial and city of residence by the Sponsor in connection with announcing the results of the Contest, without further compensation.
13. General conditions
The Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any entrant who tampers with the entry process, submits false information, or acts in a manner the Sponsor reasonably determines to be unfair or disruptive. The Sponsor is not responsible for entries that are lost, late, misdirected, incomplete, or not received for any reason. The Sponsor reserves the right, subject to any required regulatory approval, to withdraw, amend or suspend the Contest in the event of any cause beyond its reasonable control. This Contest is governed by the laws of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. By entering, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and by the decisions of the Sponsor, which are final and binding.
14. Relationship to other Sponsor contests and promotions
This Contest is separate from any other contest or promotion operated by the Sponsor, including “The Floor Vote” contest, which closed on 27 September 2026, and any draw or offer at a home show booth. Entry in one does not constitute entry in another, and the entry forms and prizes are distinct.
15. No association with social media platforms
This Contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Instagram, Facebook, Meta Platforms Inc., TikTok, or any other social media platform. Entrants understand that they are providing their information to the Sponsor and not to any such platform, and each such platform is completely released from all liability by each entrant.
