Canadian Home Style — “The Floor Vote” Contest
Official Rules
1. Contest period
The Contest opens at 9:00:00 a.m. Pacific Time on Monday, 17 August 2026 and closes at 11:59:59 p.m. Pacific Time on Sunday, 27 September 2026 (the “Contest Period”). Entries received outside the Contest Period are void. The Sponsor’s computer is the official timekeeper for this Contest.
2. Sponsor
Canadian Home Style, 1420 Marine Drive, North Vancouver, British Columbia V7P 1T6. Telephone 604-980-6772.
3. Eligibility
Open to legal residents of British Columbia who have reached the age of majority (19) in British Columbia as of the date of entry, and who own a residential property located in Metro Vancouver. Employees, contractors, installers and sales representatives of the Sponsor, and their immediate family members and persons domiciled with them, are not eligible. Residents of Quebec are not eligible. Void where prohibited.
4. How to enter
During the Contest Period there are two ways to enter, and both are free.
(a) Comment the word “MINE” on any post the Sponsor has designated as a Contest Post on its Instagram or Facebook account. You will then receive an automated direct message containing a link to the Contest entry form.
(b) Alternatively, and without commenting on or otherwise engaging with any post, visit canadianhomestyle.com/contest-entry-the-floor-vote directly and complete the same form.
In both cases, submission of the completed entry form is what constitutes entry. Commenting alone does not enter you in the Contest. Liking, sharing, following, tagging or reposting is not required to enter, is not an entry method, and will not improve your chance of winning. Limit one (1) entry per household for the duration of the Contest Period. Entries that are incomplete or illegible will be disqualified. No purchase is necessary.
5. Prize
There is one (1) prize available to be won, consisting of: (a) a credit of two thousand five hundred Canadian dollars (CAD $2,500) to be applied against a flooring supply-and-install project performed by the Sponsor with a total pre-tax project value of ten thousand Canadian dollars (CAD $10,000) or more; and (b) one in-home design consultation with the Sponsor’s design team, approximate retail value CAD $300. Total approximate retail value of the prize: CAD $2,800.
6. Prize conditions
The prize must be accepted as awarded, has no cash surrender value, and is not transferable, assignable, or redeemable for cash. The credit may not be combined with any other offer, discount or promotion. The credit applies to the pre-tax value of the project and does not apply to taxes, permits, or third-party charges. The winner must enter into the Sponsor’s standard written contract for the project, and the project must be scheduled to commence within twelve (12) months of the date the prize is awarded. If the winner does not proceed with a qualifying project within that period, the credit is forfeited and no substitute will be provided. The in-home design consultation may be redeemed independently of the credit and is subject to the Sponsor’s service area. The Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value if the prize cannot be awarded as described.
7. Odds of winning
Odds of being selected depend on the total number of eligible entries received during the Contest Period.
8. Winner selection and skill-testing question
On or about Wednesday, 30 September 2026, one (1) entry will be selected at random from among all eligible entries received. The selected entrant will be contacted using the contact details provided at entry. Before being declared the winner, the selected entrant must correctly answer, unaided and without mechanical or other assistance, the following mathematical skill-testing question:
(15 × 4) + 20 − 30 ÷ 3 = ?
The selected entrant must also sign and return a declaration and release confirming eligibility, acceptance of the prize as awarded, and release of the Sponsor from liability.
9. Notification and forfeiture
The Sponsor will make three (3) attempts to contact the selected entrant within five (5) business days of the draw. If the selected entrant cannot be reached within that period, fails to correctly answer the skill-testing question, fails to return the signed declaration and release within ten (10) business days, or is found to be ineligible, that entrant forfeits the prize and the Sponsor may, at its discretion, select an alternate entrant by the same process.
10. Photographs, personal information and consent
Personal information collected through the entry form is collected, used and disclosed in accordance with British Columbia’s Personal Information Protection Act and the Sponsor’s privacy policy, for the purposes of administering this Contest. By entering, you confirm that you own or have permission to submit any photographs you provide and you grant the Sponsor a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use those photographs for the administration of the Contest. Use of any entrant’s photographs for the Sponsor’s marketing or advertising requires that entrant’s separate consent, which may be given or withheld at the entrant’s discretion and is not a condition of entry. Consent to receive commercial electronic messages from the Sponsor is optional, is obtained separately at the point of entry, is not a condition of entry, and may be withdrawn at any time.
11. Publicity
By accepting the prize, the winner consents to the use of their first name, last initial and city of residence by the Sponsor in connection with announcing the results of the Contest, without further compensation.
12. General conditions
The Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any entrant who tampers with the entry process, submits false information, or acts in a manner the Sponsor reasonably determines to be unfair or disruptive. The Sponsor is not responsible for entries that are lost, late, misdirected, incomplete, or not received for any reason. The Sponsor reserves the right, subject to any required regulatory approval, to withdraw, amend or suspend the Contest in the event of any cause beyond its reasonable control. This Contest is governed by the laws of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. By entering, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and by the decisions of the Sponsor, which are final and binding.
13. No association with social media platforms
This Contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Instagram, Facebook, Meta Platforms Inc., TikTok, or any other social media platform. Entrants understand that they are providing their information to the Sponsor and not to any such platform, and each such platform is completely released from all liability by each entrant.
