What Makes a European Kitchen Different
European kitchen cabinets are built frameless. Instead of a face frame around each opening, the box itself carries the door, so every cabinet opens to its full width. Doors and drawer fronts sit close together in clean, even lines, and integrated appliances disappear behind matching fronts.
The boxes are made in a factory to tight tolerances, so doors stay aligned for years. Soft-close hinges and full-extension drawer runners are part of the build, and moisture-resistant cores stand up to our coastal climate.
German Cabinetry from Bauformat
Our European kitchens are built on Bauformat, a family-owned German manufacturer making kitchens since 1917 and one of Germany's five largest kitchen makers. Its cabinets are made to RAL Golden M quality standards, carry the Blue Angel low-emission eco-label and are PEFC certified, and Bauformat won the BMK Innovation Prize in 2018 and 2019.
We pair that German production with local design and project management: one point of contact from the first sketch to the final walk-through.
Three Ways to Build It
Bauformat: the core German collection. Burger: the most accessible of the three, built by the Bauformat group in Germany. Baulux: our luxury collection, where the fronts and finishes lead.
All three are planned to your room and specified down to the hinge. See how we plan kitchen cabinets or explore a full kitchen renovation.
European Cabinets in Vancouver Homes
Vancouver kitchens are rarely square. Character homes have walls that lean, and condo kitchens are tight. Because European cabinets are planned to the millimetre, filler panels and scribing during installation take up the differences, so the finished kitchen looks built for the room.
In a condo, the same planning helps with strata rules: we map out deliveries, working hours and elevator bookings before the cabinets arrive.
See a European Kitchen in North Vancouver

European Kitchen Cabinet FAQs
Are your European cabinets made in Germany?
Our Bauformat and Burger collections are manufactured by the Bauformat group in Germany.
What is the difference between frameless and framed cabinets?
Frameless cabinets have no face frame around the opening, so the door covers the whole box and every cabinet opens to its full width. Framed cabinets lose some of that opening to the frame.
Do European cabinets suit older Vancouver homes?
Yes. They are planned to the millimetre, and filler panels and scribing during installation take up uneven walls and floors.
How long does a European kitchen take?
Your cabinets are produced in Germany after the design is approved. We give you a clear timeline, including production and installation, before you order.
Is financing available?
Yes. Financing is available on approved credit. Call 604-980-6772 or ask in the showroom for the current terms.
Do you charge for kitchen design?
Yes. Our 3D design packages are paid work, typically $3,000 to $5,000, and give you a complete layout and rendering before you commit to cabinets.
